 The Philippa Pearce Lecture 2025
In loving memory of Morag Styles

VALERIE BLOOM

'Myself in a Poem'

5pm, Thursday 17th April
Homerton College, Cambridge

We are were all greatly saddened that the founder of the Philippa Pearce Lecture, Morag Styles, died in December 2024.

This year's lecture was be held in loving memory of Morag and in celebration of her life and work. Morag was Professor of Children's Poetry at the University of Cambridge, and one of her proudest achievements was the Caribbean Poetry Project, which brought together poets, scholar and teachers from the Caribbean and the UK.

You can read a review of the 2025 lecture here.

A video of the lecture will be available shortly.
